Job Site Estimator

Job Function:
Requires a strong understanding of flooring products, installation techniques, and maintenance practices, ensuring high-quality workmanship that aligns with company standards.

Duties:

• Visiting job sites and analyzing blueprints and plans
• Review scope of work and product specifications for jobs
• Draw and label flooring plans/layouts and develop an installation plan
• Calculate the total amount of material and supplies needed for a flooring project
• Gathers client specifications
• Explain material options
• Communicate with customers as well as the installation crew to ensure work gets completed on schedule

Skills:

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate flooring measurements and cost estimation
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure precise installation and alignment of tiles
• Proficient knowledge of different flooring materials, patterns, and installation techniques (including ceramic and porcelain tile)
• Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and other team members
• Time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines and handle multiple flooring estimates simultaneously
• Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve any issues during the estimation process
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to tile installation
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for flooring estimation and project management
• Physical stamina and dexterity for handling heavy tiles and working in various environments
